At this stage, in what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

At this point of our media production, we are just beginning to go into the production process of the making of our Music video. due to this we have put in alot of effort to plan and reaserch the conventions we believe to be important to follow and meet the critira needed to complete pre production. At this stage, i don't think there has been any need to challenge conventions of researching other media products. in order to find apporopriate data we produced questionnaires and charts, this is a normality in research and it has worked very well in informing us of target audience needs, especially in our chosen genre. Despite having our own ideas of how we want our final product to look, we also researched what other people wish ther to be included in the type of music video they would like to see. This was only able to help us in seeing what elements work and don't work in making a music video. When we have actually put production into practise, any differences or challenges to the conventions of other media products will be clearer, however i don't think that putting too many changes into the conventions is a good idea when your target audience know what they want to see.
